A gyülekezetünk vasárnap tartotta a hagyományosan évente megrendezett Tavaszi gáláját, amelynek a különleges aktualitását az idei 100 éves évfordulónk adta.
Az istentisztelet és a palacsinta party után, ahol Geburth Péter szórakoztatta tangoharmónikán zenélve a vendégeket, majd a templomban tartott műsorban fellépett Földházi Lilien, Kiss Erzsike és Orcsik István, Mónus Oliver és Chen Tai, akik egy csodálatos dallamos délután keretében többek között Bartók, Kodály, Liszt és Brahms műveiből adtak elő. Költeményeket szavaltak Reeves Anna Lynn és Kotschy Andrea.
Köszönjük mindeninek, akik lehetővé tették, hogy a rendezvény megvalósulhasson, akik szerepeltek a rendezvényen, és akik a jelenlétükkel támogatták a gyülekezetünket.
MANY THANKS to everyone who made the JUBILEE SPRING GÁLA possible! It was great to see old friends and new at church. Thank you: operetta artists Erzsike Kiss and István Orcsik, Pianist Oliver Mónus, flutist Chen Tai, violist Lilien Földházi, and Pianist Grace Nguyen. Poetry recitation by Anna Lynn Reeves and Andrea Kotschy. Pastor Bátori Zoltán for the trumpet. Before and after the concert, everyone enjoyed the Palacsinta Party featuring palacsinta, homemade pogácsa, pastries, and more. Peter Geburth provided the music, while Chefs Hilárion and Renáta cooked 300 palacsinta and baked the many beigli for the beigli kalács bake sale.
Hundreds of pogácsa were baked by Sarika K., Erika O., Lila U., Erzsike B., Kati H. and others. Thank you Éva M. for organizing, Attila H. for being the Master of Ceremonies. There were so many people who helped - set up, serve, clean up and donated food, time, talents and prizes for the raffles and chocolates for our entertainers - we apologize if we left anyone out. We thank ALL who came, donated, encouraged or contributed in anyway.
May God bless all of you for your kindness and generosity! All proceeds go toward repairs for our church and New Hymnbooks from Hungary, to replace the ones that after many decades of use, are falling apart. A heartfelt thanks to all who contribute to the life of our Congregation in any way. Our church exists because of God’s grace, your prayers and gifts of time, talent and treasure. May God bless you for your kindness and generosity.
